Screenless Laptop Introduced

An Israeli company, Sightful, has introduced an unusual Android-based laptop. Named Spacetop, this device has a screen that can only be viewed when the laptop’s owner wears augmented reality (AR) glasses. The bottom part of the laptop remains similar to traditional laptops, featuring a plastic body equipped with a touchpad, keyboard, fingerprint scanner, and ports. The upper side has only a notch for the glasses and special sensors for head tracking. By eliminating the screen factor, this technological marvel offers a broad working environment and increases privacy in outdoor settings.

When examining the Spacetop’s hardware, we first encounter an integrated speaker and microphone designed to work with the AR glasses. This crucial hardware duo is tuned to provide an optimal experience. The device also offers support for Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and 5G, and features Type-C, USB 3.0, HDMI, and a 3.5mm jack input. Unfortunately, the laptop only supports web applications. Sightful plans to release the innovative laptop in California on May 31st.
