Hologram Technology May Soon Enter Homes

Hologram technology has been used in various displays for quite some time. However, it has not yet been commercialized to the extent that it is available to the general public. Looking Glass Factory aims to change that with the introduction of The Looking Glass 65, the largest and highest resolution 65-inch holographic screen ever made.

This world’s first 8K holographic screen that provides 3D images without the need for VR or AR sets was showcased at tech fairs and is now available for sale. According to the company, the screen is five times larger than any other 3D holographic displays and can show over one billion colors. The system creates hundreds of different 3D visual perspectives every sixtieth of a second from 100 million light points, enabling groups of up to 50 people to immerse themselves in the action at once.

With a high price tag, it is expected to be aimed at commercial use initially. However, with the right investments, more affordable hologram screens could eventually make their way into homes.
